Artist: Juliette Clovis

Juliette’s work explores two main lines: the cycle of life which is incessant and universal, and the perpetual search for balance born of contrast and opposition. Her work juxtaposes a prophetic picture announcing the birth of a new living being, a human body with half animal and half plant face and the onset of death caused by a hungry nature wanting to take back its rights. Symbols such as snakes, butterflies, eggs and chrysanthemums are chosen to represent both life and death. Inspired by the Baroque spirit, Juliette mixes times and cultures, trying to create a dialogue between tradition and modernity and to make harmonious a world made of contrasts and differences.
